All clever word play aside, a "sales consultant" is 99% sales and 1%
consultant. The governing principle here is conflict of interest.
Compensation scheme dictates priorities, and the elements of willing
and able. The "10% moron" rule of course applies to most fields, not
just sales. It's a fact of life that incompetence exists in all walks of
life, and we all have been there ourselves from time to time. My objections
are not
at all against
sales, but the deceptive disguise of it as consulting. No doubt, sales
perform a vital function in the economy. |
